“Sam Van Aken, an artist and professor at Syracuse University, uses “chip grafting” to create trees that each bear 40 different varieties of stone fruits, or fruits with pits.”
I never knew that it is possible to grow mango and harvest peach. It is amazing that someone could actually graft so many different fruit branches into one single tree and it works.
I have seen some grafting on trees of similar species but not different fruit tree altogether. Having seen something like this working, perhaps it is something worth trying on your own garden.
